Reading and Writing
Reading and writing are vital componets to a language arts curriculum and everyday life.  It can be enhanced, taught, and worked on through the use of the internet.  Below are some excellent examples of each:

This is an awesome interactive webquest for elementary aged children.  Children are taken through the process of creating a one day itinerary, including completing a story, designing a travel brochure, and making a diary entry.  Space Mountain awaits!

One of the best writing tools on the web-this resource teaches children to write paragraphs including topic and concluding sentences as well as including those ever so important supporting details.  Excellent source for preparing children for the ELA!
